you had mentioned that your guitar was 3/4 sized. daisy rock is a brand of guitars that they market to women, that are made smaller than a regular guitar (and that i’ve considered getting for myself, since my hands are small, too). they come in colors similar to your as well.
so, i figured, hey, maybe that’s a daisy rock guitar!
OH. That makes sense! But my guitar is by the brand “Jay Jr.” It’s just a crummy $80 guitar. The guy who sold it to me said that they also had it in pink, but it had sold out really fast.
I am against pink baseball hats and pink guitars as marketed to women.
usually, I am against such things too (paticularly the baseball hats! i’ve seen far too many baby pink cubs hats in my time!).
however, in the case of daisy rock, i think it is admirable to say “women on average have smaller hands and differen body shapes than men; lets make guitars that are made with that in mind that don’t suck.”
*laughing* yeah, and i wasnt talking about 3/4 guitars, just daisy rock ones (they are full size but…smaller? hmm.). and we agree! on the pink marketing!
daisyrock!
que est-ce “daisyrock”?
oh, i thought it was worth a stab. 🙂

I didn’t mean I am against 3/4 size guitars! They are the only ones I can play. And they are actually made for children, not women. Oh well 🙂
I am just skeeved by the whole, “this guitar is pink, therefore a girl will be more interested in playing it.” Bleah.

gotta love comment-ful conversing.
p.s.
and by the way, hell yeah rockin’ the guitar. it’s always good to rediscover creative-type stuff.
