I wore my pedometer today. I wore it at the gym too. I logged over 11,000 steps. Nice work, eh? Ten thousand is supposedly optimal. So I guess it’s a good thing I did three miles on the elliptical.
Still have not written anything in the book for a week, but today I did complete the outline, which is actually a huge deal. I have the whole thing summarized from beginning to end. The outline is six pages long. I am still asking myself why I am doing this. So far my only good answer is: it’s fun?
I took a picture of the contents of my bag, for posterity.
Sometimes when you have listened to a song enough times, you start to hear the tiny, tiny details hiding inside, like a layer in the background delicately changing pitch, or the sound the singer makes in his lungs or in his mouth just before he starts to sing. I am in love with that.

yes. exactly. im glad you use the term “in love”. i have used that often to explain how i feel about music.
It just seemed like the right way to say it 🙂
I am so glad that some bands don’t erase those incidental noises from their music. I think Spoon in particular leaves it all in there on purpose.
i am glad im not alone in this
