Just a reminder, I have not had any caffeinated beverages in eighteen days. No coffee, no diet coke, etc. Yeah.
One of the main parts of this “experiment” was to see if it would have any effect on my complexion. Results pending!
Oh, and I will go back to coffee next month. I really love the taste too much not to. But maybe I’ll alternate it with green tea every other day.
LIKE YOU GUYS CARE.
Anyhoo.
but.. but. doesnt green tea have caffiene??
Well, yeah. I forgot to mention that green tea has a small amount of caffeine, less than black tea, or coffee, or diet coke, etc. I think its health benefits make up for it. I mean, I choose to believe that. π
I thought caffeinated beverages reduced your chances of, you know, getting knocked up?
We looked into that, since Brian drinks coffee. There is no evidence to suggest that caffeine negatively affects sperm count. YOU’RE WELCOME! More likely causes for that are stress and doing things like sitting in hot tubs for long periods of time. Also I read that wearing snug underwear has no effect either, and it’s not the same as people who spend all day on a bicycle seat or something.
That said, cutting back on caffeine is really never a bad thing, so, it can’t hurt.
You know, if its for your skin, what really works for me is drinking a large glass of water first thing in the morning when you wake up. I tell myself that I cant have any coffee untill I drink at least 8oz of water. Because you are already dehydrated in the morning, coffee is really the worst thing you can drink. I find if I dont drink water in the morning my skin gets worse. Mind you I still get a break out at a certain time in my cycle, but it stems any other breakouts.
Just my 2 cents.
Thank you π I should totally do that. I have a couple sips of water when I get out of bed, but that ain’t enough.
