My boot-shopping saga continues. I ordered two pairs of boots off of my company’s not-yet-launched site, and ended up returning both of them today. One pair, while very awesome, would not zip over my calf, which is a problem for all people who don’t have long, skinny legs. My legs are shapely, but short, so they are ill-proportioned for tall boots. The only solution is to wear lace-up boots. The other pair I returned because they were just impractical. Cute as hell, but with a 3.5″ heel, not easy to walk in.
So, returned them both and will exchange for these, which are much cheaper and more my style.
I went to the gym today, that’s thrice this week.
I don’t think I will watch any more of the games in the ALCS. I can’t take it.
What else… oh yes. I signed up for a writing class that starts next month. Five Saturdays. The class focuses on learning to bring your writing to life with more vivid use of description and detail. I think it’s something I need to work on as I tend to rush sometimes.
I have been working on the book for at least two hours every day.
Niiice! Those look pretty kick-ass, in multiple forms.
I’ve given up on baseball altogether. Used to tune in on the TV while I was doing other things, but it’s just so late in the season and the teams I care about have washed out already. But, in the words of any Cubs fan, “There’s always next year…”
Wait.
WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THOSE BOOTS?
I love love love those boots. Hook a girl up. Holy shit.
Sure! Here they are
Wow such writing discipline. How do you do it? I needed Nanowrimo (which you once dissed but which helps the unmotivated slugs out there like me).
The only reason I can do it is because I have the whole book in my head already, it’s just a matter of getting it out… I am not really “blocked” on a large scale. That said, in two hours of work I can usually only get a page or two done.
I think Nanowrimo is just too much pressure for me. Isn’t it 50,000 words in 30 days? It took me almost six months to get to 50,000 words. I am too much of a perfectionist, probably to a fault, but it’s just my style. I edit constantly, I go back over things I have written and add things, take away, and so on.
cute boots jane! tell me how they fit. i have the Big Calf too – 16″ circumference and i don’t even skateboard anymore, sigh…the gals out here are finally turning to ankle boots (hello eighties!) which work fine, but doesn’t stop me from wanting the tall ones…xo rena
