I don’t see how I can be expected to work when the Oakland A’s are playing game one of the ALDS right now.

Allison and Jesse arrived yesterday and are staying at our house. Last night we made this vegan tempeh tomato sauce with spaghetti and it was delicioso. Then we watched the Packers lose. Allison and Jesse are from Wisconsin, btw.

They are also two of the three people who have read my book (so far) and have given feedback and advice. Actually, Jesse’s feedback is “I like it,” but that’s pretty high praise coming from a dude who doesn’t really read fiction. I think he likes it because the main character is a guy in his 30s who played in punk rock bands.

Tonight we are having dinner at Millenium. I’ve never been, and I’m looking forward to it.

I had forgotten until now how much the playoffs ties my stomach in knots.
