We got home very late last night. It was a good trip and I will do a long post about it later. Some highlights:

+ met Eddie Griffin in our hotel’s bar. He told me he was disappointed when he saw my wedding ring. I think I blushed.

+ incredible fall foliage (does not exist on the west coast, particularly at this level of brilliance). I loved it.

+ my brother’s wedding recessional: “The Throne Room” from the soundtrack to Star Wars Episode IV. Yes, the music playing during the medal ceremony. It was so rad.

+ spending two very quick hours in Washington DC, just wandering along the Mall in perfect fall weather as the sun was setting, cozy in my wool coat with my man on my arm. We took a picture for posterity:
