After letting dinner digest, Brian and I took a walk tonight. We wanted to go to Canvas, but they were having some weird “ask mister science” event, when we just wanted to sit quietly and read, so we were stuck with the only other neighborhood option: Starbucks.
I read a few more chapters of “The History of Love.” It’s getting good, about 2/3 through it, starting to figure out what the hell is going on. I like the neat little sentences, they make me burn bright with jealousy.
After I’d reached a good stopping point, I pulled out my collection of page-a-day calendar crossowrd puzzles, which I have been tearing off at work and saving. I’d stapled them together and Brian and I did a couple of them. The Sat/Sun one from the first weekend in January was difficult and made my neck hurt. So we moved on to the Monday 1/8 puzzle, which we finished in less than 10 minutes.
Holy psychic powers – I am reading that book right now, too! I picked it up for a quarter at a thrift store.
i enjoyred MOST of History of Love. while reading it, i kept htinking that it was written with a movie in mind. and now Cuaron is making a movie from it.
