Brian had roses and chocolate delivered to my desk at work yesterday. But that was just the beginning.
We met up for dinner at six, right by the ball park, and walked a few blocks over to Coco 500, a place he found online. Once we were seated, the waiter brought us ANOTHER vase of flowers, this one orchids and roses. I was stunned and delighted to say the least.
Then Brian gave me my gift, wrapped in magazine pages, which is something he excels at. It was something I had kind of been dreaming of for a couple months, and never thought he would get for me. But he did! It’s a very special, very pretty wallet. I just couldn’t get over it. Wow, baby. I’ll be carrying this one for a looong time.
So then we had dinner, which was fabulous. I had a glass of wine which was yummy and now I wish I remembered the name so I could find a bottle. I got a couple voicemails from family members, wishing me a happy birthday. We ate dessert, had coffee, and then walked to the train two blocks away, carrying the vase of flowers.
I had an excellent birthday. I was just blown away by how much thought and planning Brian put into it. I haven’t been with many guys — if any, ever — who did over-the-top romantic gestures for me. I definitely appreciated every moment of it. And it wasn’t about the expense, I think it was about just seeing the surprised and happy look on my face. He loves that.
We’re going to have an awesome weekend.
awww. happy birthday to you and good job brian!!

Happy belated birthday. Sounds like it was fabulous … Brian is so thoughtful!
Well, my husband got me a copy of Kelly Rogers: the Gambler for a recent birthday, so I would say you are doing pretty well. Happy birthday.
