We are going to Juneau. This is where we will be staying. I am pretty excited right now. I have only been writing about this town for a year, sight unseen. I expect the feeling of being there to be highly surreal, and I may think for a moment that I am someone else.
Outside, it’s foggy and drizzly. The uninhabited old house around the corner caught fire this morning. I took a peek at it on the way to the bakery at 7am. I’ll probably snap some photos tonight on my way home.
There is a Russian Orthodox Church/Catherdral I think either named after Saint Hermon first Russian Orthodox Saint. Lived in Juneau, I only know the story vaguely, because Father Michael the first priest at the Orthodox Mission that shared space with us was ordained in the Russian Orthodox Church. Anyway it’s a place that is part of the city, the ambiance. Mom
