+ Okay I know it’s been a long time, but damn, those Geico caveman ads STILL crack me up. I mean, I am no closer to buying their insurance. But I just saw the one with the people mover in the airport and I laughed, again.
+ Today I went to the gym. Yay me. The locker room smelled bad. Could it be the big construction project about ten feet away? Or just stinky gym clothes?
+ Work was boring. It’s slow right now. I went to have coffee with Brian and afterward I walked back to the office, which is a 20-min stroll. The Giants game (6-2, SF) had just let out, so I was caught up in the crowd a bit. A woman passed me, wobbling around on four-inch red pumps. Oh and ripped fishnet stockings. And a black lycra miniskirt. Oh and a gold puffy hooded jacket. Plus a zebra print handbag. Ok she looked like a hooker. It was weird. It was 3 in the afternoon on the Embarcadero. I thought, ok, maybe she’s just dressed as a hooker. Maybe she’s… European? (sorry.) But then she got on her cellphone, and she was definitely American. Then she said she left her phone charger at work. I was so confused. You had to see this to believe it I guess. Passing cards were honking their horns at her. It was a very poor fashion choice. Or, a hooker.
+ Anyway, now I am home and a light rain is falling outside. I am marinating some tofu in a ginger mandarin dressing, and steaming a pot of wild rice. Stir fry veggies with tofu is on the menu tonight. I expect Brian home in an hour. To be honest, I am really looking forward to when his class is over.
+ I have been feeling pretty undisciplined of late with regard to food. Treats, in particular. I LOVE THEM. My main meals have been fine, and I do not drink soda, yet I still love my afternoon cookie. I’m weak, I tell ya. Weak!
Yanno, I don’t think that afternoon cookie will harm you one little bit π I too, have been watching my weight, but I still have a little pocky or something with my afternoon tea.
But I have been rationing out my easter chocolate (stockpile of cadbury eggs, plus this thing I can only describe as a 1 pound truffle) very carefully so I don’t get all fatty-mc-fatty pants again. And let’s not forget about the 5 dark chocolate oranges.. and the Harry & David bars.. yep I like chocolate. Lots!
People who eat cookies live longer
It’s true.
Follow the logic:
If people who eat some chocolate live longer than people who eat no chocolate, and people who drink some wine live longer than people who drink no wine, then people who eat some cookies live longer than people who eat no cookies.
Right?
On the other hand, life with no cookies would FEEL a lot longer. π
Re: People who eat cookies live longer
Heh. Well, it’s not like I’m stuffing my face with like FIVE cookies or something. It’s just the one!
Yes, one cookie, but how BIG is this one cookie?
I am just feeling smug because I completely avoided getting an extra scummy brownie today as a “friday” reward, mainly because I want to go to the gym after work and not burp up brownie while I am pedaling away. If I had eaten the brownie not only would I have had a “bad” treat, but also it would have given me an excuse not to go to the gym at all. But brownies, in the picture for the weekend, definitely!!
