I have had a sore neck and shoulders for the past three days and it’s really getting annoying. Stretching isn’t doing much. I can’t figure out whether it’s tension or another disc problem. It’s worst right when I wake up after laying in bed all night. BLEH. And no it’s not my awesome pillow.
Yesterday I went out for a stroll and ended up walking around the Castro. It was sunny and very windy, which is typical weather here. My hair was loose and flying all around my face. As I walked back to the train, some guy passing me said, “cool hair”. Which seemed odd to me, so I kind of laughed and kept going. I haven’t been told I had cool hair since back when I used to bleach it and dye it colors. One time when my hair was green, Michael Stipe told me I had cool hair. At a Fugazi show. True story!
Last night for dinner we had quinoa and stir fried chicken in peanut sauce. I kind of made it up as I went along. It was good though. For dessert: peanut butter cookie with hershey’s kiss in the middle. One of my favorite cookies evvveeerr.
I think I have made Brian a Mountain Goats fan. First, I downloaded most of the records and played them all the time in the house. Then I took him to see them live. Yesterday I caught Brian singing one of the songs (“This Year”). Ah HA!!! Mission accomplished!
Though turnabout is fair play: he kinda did the exact same thing to me with Blonde Redhead. We are going to see them at Bimbo’s the day after our anniversary.
Speaking of anniversaries: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CLAIRE
And now I must work on my book, and then go to brunch with Karen K. Happy Sunday, y’all.
sore neck
When was the last time you turned your mattress? That can give you a sore neck. And if your pillow is over a year old, it might be dying too. If the mattress is over 10 years old, it may have outlived its life also especially if its foam. Love, Mom
