I just had a 45-minute workout in the garage, with Brian as my trainer. It was good — we had the door mostly open so the sunshine and fresh air could flood in. I felt especially good about my roundhouse/punch combinations on the heavy bag. Not so much with the situps, wah.
I have tried to be “active” with walking and stuff in recent months, but haven’t done any strength training or circuit training, which I know is important for complete fitness. Brian is very motivating. I know he wants me to get back into martial arts too, but I’m happy just doing it as part of a workout right now.
Plans tonight: we might go have good Mexican food for dinner, but I think we’ll just play it by ear. As far as ringing in the new year, that shall be happening here in the comfort of the house, in our pajamas.
