I started tinkering with my new site design yesterday afternoon at about three o’clock. Before I knew it, it was midnight and I had to force myself to bed. But it was mostly completed, aside from a few cross-browser compatibility issues, which I fixed when I got up this morning. But now here we are twenty-four hours later, having tested in Firefox and Safari for the Mac, as well as Firefox and IE for Windows. Everything seems to be displaying as it should. The only kink appears to be in IE for the Mac, which is a known piece-of-shit browser that is barely supported anywhere, so let’s not speak of it again, shall we?
So, if you are viewing this post at my web site, you are now looking at a new design, and finally, some new content, which hopefully will expand and evolve. It was fun to flex my Photoshop and CSS muscles last night, though I do tend toward obsessive perfectionism in this arena, and literally can’t stand it if something is even one pixel off. I think I probably picked up that habit at my last job — working on a web site that got millions of views per day.
Anyway, I hope you are as pleased with the new look as I am.
