We had some very spotty bananas in the fruit bowl so today I made a loaf of banana bread with pecans. I used the recipe from The Silver Palate Cookbook, one of the best cookbooks I own, which I bought after browsing through ludickid‘s a few years ago (he made us the italian sausage pasta dish).

It came out pretty much flawless, if I do say so myself. The last one I made used a different recipe and involved chocolate chips. It was disappointing.
Last Saturday it was 85 degrees in Seattle. Today it’s 38 and hailing. It was a brief summer. Anyway, I got to hang out with aforementioned ludickid and it was kool.
He had just finished describing for me in detail everything that he was wearing.
Here is the cool dude I married almost three years ago:
Yes, our anniversary is Wednesday. Cheers!
Later I was watching baseball and noticed this amusing typo:
Well that’s it for now. I wonder how many other things I can find to distract myself with in order to avoid cleaning up my office?
I totally laughed at the steak. I’m way mature. hehe.
Mmmm, I could really go for a long New York steak.
I bought the Silver Palate 25th anniversary cookbook, but irritatingly, there were no new recipes in it. Still, it’s one of my favorites.
orly? B/c I have both (got them both as gifts). So I can/should donate one of them?
Cute kicks.
Yum, 17-game-long steak….
Yeah, you can definitely dump one of them. All that’s in the anniversary version are color photos instead of drawings and a bunch of reminiscences of the early days written in their snotty tone.
Them kicks is Rocawear Spock H2s.
thanks boo boo. i just took it out of my to-move box and put it into my to-sell pile.
Baseball, husband, friend and bread… Sounds like a full day… Organizing is good, but overrated ( :
Mmmm… pecans
The other day I was digging in my yard and I found a pecan.
I cracked it open and was munching on it and my mom was all looking at me like “Girl, you crazy.” Since my mom’s white and half Swedish, it was good times.
Pecans are proof that God loves us…
That banana bread looks fantastic. Hahaha, steak. I love catching typos on television.
