+ Today I decided to make some red sauce partially from scratch. Meaning that I used seven or eight whole, raw tomatoes, which I cored, boiled, peeled, seeded, and ground in the blender. Added a bunch of veggies, ground beef, some red wine, and a can of crushed tomatoes. It’s really good.
+ I also pitted and halved a pound of bing cherries, which are now in the freezer. With vanilla bean ice cream, totally my new favorite dessert. Or just eaten by themselves. Lots of vitamin C.
+ I have 8oz of chocolate I got for the party but left in my purse. Just as well, now I can bake some brownies.
Nice red sauce!! There’s two things I do with mine.. sugar, just a little, which is kind of a northern Italian thing, and baking soda to help with the acidity for touchy stomachs. Both courtesy of my Italian grandmother!
