I have been looking for comfortable brown leather sandals that aren’t flip flops, and today I found them:
They are Clark’s, and are just what I wanted, not to mention the local store where I bought them today had them for cheaper than all the online shoes stores I just checked. So buying locally can indeed sometimes be cheaper.
Decided to go ahead and order the crib today. I figure it will take a couple weeks to get here, then we’ll need to make the space for it, and assemble it, then we wanted to give it a month or so to “air out”, even though the one I chose has a non-toxic finish. The other great thing about this crib is that it converts into a toddler bed, and then a full-sized headboard/footboard. And it’s made from sustainable wood, which is always a nice touch.
It was on my amazon registry, but I presumed we’d still get it ourselves, so I found it at a different website, where it was cheaper than what amazon wanted, PLUS: free shipping, no sales tax, and 10% off of the already lower price. Basically, score. Threw in the mattress and two organic bedding sets too, which were also cheaper than what amazon was charging, on top of the no tax. Yay, internet.

No I did not include those ridiculous mobiles.
Then we went shopping for shirts for Brian. Macy’s is having one of their insane sales, so he got some very nice $40 polos for $9. Then I went to the maternity store, again, still hunting for a light summer sundress that will fit me for the next two months. Ended up with this:
And this totally irresistible top, which I love so much I put it on when we got home:
Okay that’s enough shopping for this week, then.
And finally, here’s the latest bump photo. 28 weeks!
Nordy’s has some Joseph Siebel sandals on sale: very comfortable, come in black, red and a bronzed taupe. Which of the bedding sets are you thinking? Or both? Love, mom
Thanks for the tip, but no more shoes for me…! I dig my new Clark’s.
And we ordered both bedding sets, but I left supplemental crib sheets and accessories on the registry, since I know we’ll need spare sheets, a mattress pad, etc. And those are all much more affordable than the four- and six-piece sets.
the deer bedset is adorable!
what is your due date again?
October 12 or thereabouts.
Or “whenever she feels like it.”
You look great!
🙂 thank you. I feel huge, but I know we’re in the homestretch now.
