In 2013 we will have a big glass jar in our kitchen to deposit little notes containing good things to remember. Then at the end of the year, we’ll dump the jar out and read the notes to each other for new year’s eve. I think I found this idea, like so many others, on Pinterest.
Good things that happened yesterday: 1) I found a very pretty and inexpensive green agate beaded bracelet in a little shop on Front Street. I’m kind of obsessed with it. 2) I sat down in a coffee shop to drink a latte and read my Kindle for ten minutes while the rain fell outside. 3) I made salmon for dinner and Freya ate up her entire portion. 4) Chatted via text with a couple of girlfriends late last night while baby slept next to me.
Good things from today: 1) Slept in a little. 2) The house is clean. Every shred of Christmas decor has been safely stored away for the year. 3) Making chili for dinner.

Audrey is six and a half months old now, and still no teeth. But she is very, very interested in watching us eat. Sometimes Brian holds her while he eats something and she stares at his food, smacks her lips, leans toward it, does everything but try to steal it. Freya never displayed such eagerness for solid food. So we are introducing things gradually, in no hurry. She is still as attached to the boob as ever.
